A basic southern-style pinto bean recipe, cooked in the slow cooker.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups dried pinto beans, soaked overnight
- 2 smoked ham hocks
- 1 bay leaf
- water
Preparation:
Place beans and ham hocks in Crock Pot with bay leaf. Cover with water. Cook 6 to 8 hours on high. No need to season because ham hocks give dish flavor.Serve with cornbread!
